    Principal's message:

    Dear First Street  Families:

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome back all of our returning First Street  families, as well as those of you who are new to us this year! Our staff is thrilled and looking forward to an outstanding school year and we know it will be the best one yet! We are ready for the awesome task of preparing all students to be successful learners. Our school community is dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded educational experience. While the core curriculum is provided for all students, we believe that it is critical to provide leadership opportunities, character education, and exposure to technology in order to prepare students to compete with their global counterparts. In that effort we will continue to offer our music, drama, and computer lab opportunities.  This year we are looking to continue our expansion into the world of science and technology with our Curiosity Machine workshops and we will begin a Robotics team.

For our parents we will continue to offer a variety of parent workshops through our Parent Center, this year we will offer an additional series of workshops titled "Father's Matter", a workshop intended for all Dads and male role models in our community.

I look forward to a great year!
