    Free Meals at Grab & Go Food Centers

    Los Angeles Unified, in partnership with the Red Cross, will continue to provide nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools. Our Grab & Go Food Centers are staffed weekdays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each child can take home two nutritious meals.

    Student Council!

    Our Student Council is involved in many activities throughout the year. Students learn about leadership and teamwork as they participate, lead, and develop activities throughout the year. Click below and see what's new with Student Council.

    Music Program: First Street Orchestra students perform during one of our annual performances.  Students in grades 3rd through 6th may be able to participate in our music program.

    How to enroll for Independent Study


    • City of Angels Enrollment Information- If interested in selecting an online program through the City of Angels for the 2021-2022 school year, please visit the Parent Portal at:  Parent Portal

    How to Enroll Information, Tutorials and Job Aides: Student Enrollment

    If you have questions please call: 213-443-1300 or City of Angels:


    • Step 1: Families can start the process by either registering their interest in Parent Portal, calling the family hotline (323)415-8350 or (213)443-1300, or contacting City of Angels directly.

    • Step 2: City of Angels will send interested families a digital copy of the enrollment packet to review, will schedule a meeting for the family to meet a City of Angels teacher and discuss if independent study is the right placement for the student.

    • Step 3: The City of Angels staff will review the Master Agreement with the family and the student will be officially enrolled once the Master Agreement has been signed

    • Need to enroll your child in school for the 2021-2022 school year? 

    New Student:  Parents/guardians can utilize the pre-enrollment application for new students attending their school of residence and entering Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten through 12th grade, by clicking here.
