    Message from Student Body President:

    Hello First Street Tigers,

My name is Jay'Cee Jimenez and I am your Student Council President. I have been at First Street Elementary for 6 years, Kinder through 5th grade

    Principal's message:

As I write this letter the sun is out, the sky is blue and students and teachers are enjoying another day of learning in their classrooms.  It is tremendously enjoyable to see the excitement in the eyes of our students as they are actively engaged in enriching activities.

This has been a truly amazing year, which I have thoroughly enjoyed.  This year has been full of hard work and has been a massive learning experience for all of us as we have implemented technology access through our 4 computer labs.  We have covered a lot of material and participated in many fun and exciting projects.

Students, you bring such joy and happiness to our school.  We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children at First Street  Elementary School. You have touched my life and this school by your presence.

Parents, it has been my pleasure getting to know not only your child, but you as well. Having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of any successful school year. Thank you for all you have done to make our year so fulfilling and memorable.

To our sixth grade students who are preparing to embark on a new journey into middle school and adolescence, I want to wish you the best luck in all you do.

At this stage of your life, it is very important that you take charge of your future, not to feel like you're a victim of circumstance or fate, but that you are an active participant in your future. Where you choose to focus your time and energy will directly impact what comes to you later in life.

I encourage you to work hard in school, set goals for your life, and stay focused on those goals.  Keep your eyes on your goals and don’t let anyone or anything deter you from achieving them.

Staff and students thank you for a wonderful year. I hope you have a fantastic summer.
